7-Mila 2026 (Åkullsjön)

ABOUT THE RACE Invitation/PM 7-mile 2026-03-15 IMPORTANT NOTICE! Due to the snow conditions, we unfortunately have to announce that the traditional 7-mile race with the route between Vindeln-Robertsfors cannot be carried out. We are now working hard to offer a lap race with four different routes (approx. 10, 20, 45 and 70 km) and two relays, one for 5 riders for a total of 50 km and one for 3 riders for a total of 30 km that correspond to the classes we usually have. The location for the race will be in the area around Åkullsjön. There will be four competition classes (women/men 70 km and women/men 40 km). Otherwise, there will be exercise classes, with and without timekeeping on all routes. There will be a limited number of 400 participants in classes with timekeeping. Feel free to carpool to the start or take the bus! NOTE: Staple, glue or tape food, bars, gels or similar that cause damage to the number vest may be charged to the rider at a cost of up to 300 SEK, this applies to riders in all classes regardless of distance. Sports drink: The lemon-flavored sports drink that is served is sponsored by UMARA. NOTE! Those who have registered for the 7-mila can get a 15% discount code that is valid on UMARA's webshop! Contact sjumilask@gmail.com for the code. The medal. The 7-mila Medal of Merit is awarded directly after the finish line. Clothing after finish: Pick-up of personal belongings/clothing will be signposted from the finish line. Prize handout: takes place approximately 30–40 minutes after the finish line for competition class prize winners. H/D 19 76 km 1st - 8000 SEK 2nd - 4000 SEK 3rd - 2000 SEK H/D 17 42 km 1st - 3000 SEK 2nd - 1500 SEK 3rd - 750 SEK Chips are left immediately after the finish line to the staff, lost chips are charged 800 SEK. The number tag may be kept. Tips for herding are presented on the 7-mila website and Facebook. If you need help with herding, there are herding tips and herding at the large starting points in the controls. Bus trip to the starting points Bus from Robertsfors : Departure from Centrumhuset (Trädgårdsgatan 4), at 06:30, via the bathhouse Parkgatan 7, Robertsfors. Bus from Umeå : Departure from Operaplan 5 at 07:00 and from Clarion Hotell, Umeå. The hotel address is Storgatan 36 but the bus departs from the back of the hotel at 07:05 ., thereafter it will head to Västra Strandgatan 5, Umeå for an additional pickup point. Arrival in Vindeln at 08:00 . Continue towards Botsmark at 08:10 , arriving at 08:45 . Then onwards to Åkullsjön well in advance of the start there. To be guaranteed a place, book by March 13th. Bus back after the race More information about the bus solution for the return trip will come - but at the moment it is unclear. Technical checks will be carried out along the track and violations of classic technique will be reported and sanctioned. FIS international rules apply.
